Space At the Table: Food Allergy Awareness

Space At the Table: Food Allergy Awareness

Did you know that more than 30 million Americans suffer from life-threatening food allergies? The threat of anaphylaxis looming over every bite of food can leave people, especially children, feeling isolated and anxious. In our stores these issues most directly relate to clear labeling of ingredients, as well as safe food-handling processes. In this feature, we hear directly from folks whose lives are affected by food allergies, including the CEO of the non-profit organization Food Allergy Research and Education, attendees of their annual conference in Washington D.C., and the founders of Abe’s Muffins, an allergy-safe brand found in our stores. Let’s start making every bite inclusive!
