This is Ayeya

by Angus Cann on September 16, 2024

This is Ayéya

For more than 20 years, Olow-n’djo Tchalla has been on a mission; to build a “virtuous circle” between doing well as a business and doing good in the world. His deep connection to these communities allows him to source local ingredients and materials, preserve cultural knowledge, and empower more than 5,000 co-operative members across West Africa.

“When you look at the base of Ayéya products, we know exactly where the base is coming from. It’s not going through some institutions, it’s not going through some distributors first. I myself, either in Togo, Burkina Faso, or Ghana, am on the ground, and know exactly where the source of those ingredients have come from, and have watched it all the way to the shelf. I think that that’s a key difference, is that link.”
