Code Green

At Whole Foods Market, we have a tremendous opportunity to reduce waste within our stores, minimize our impact on the planet, and support people in need within our local communities. The team at Whole Foods Market Williamsburg has used this program to form a local partnership with City Harvest and help nourish people in New York.

“We love working with the Whole Foods Market team members at the Williamsburg store because we know that they’re dedicated to saying, ‘Not on my watch.’   This food is not going to go to waste, and they’re going to make sure that it gets rescued and gets put in the hands of those within the community. .”

Jen McLean, Chief Operating Officer, City Harvest
